So apparently, for some original ps3's, like the 80 gig fat-boy of showzilla's I use for my god of war fixes and  to play dragon's dogma and brutal legend ('cause I'm cheap), there's a hiccup where they won't play newer games, like god of war: ascension, which I just got.  When I try to play it, the ps3 spasms and shuts off with a high-pitched beep and a  flashing red light like a seizure.  9 out of 10 forums I read tell me it's just over-heating, but the last says there's a handful of original ps3's that, for some gaddamn reason, can't handle newer games (either the GPU, or the CPU needs an upgrade).  Now, I'm not very tech savvy, and I haven't been a Sony guy since the ps3 came out (was way outside my pricerange, so I switched to x-box and never looked back).  So If anyone reads this and has some legit insight to share, plz do.  Until then, I'm just going to try screaming cuss words at it until it decides to work (yeah, that'll work *rolls eyes*).
